Mr Jin was invited by Mastermind Coaching’s Mr Cool for sharing a talk on Depression at Mini Oasis Library on last Sunday. Close to 20 participants attended the talk with active interactions between the speaker and audiences.
It was a heavy subject where depression is currently being considered one of the most challenging form of mental disorder that affected a big number of population in the world. Finding a cure is not a simple answer, while prevention is always preferred, and even this is not an easy process. Mr Jin applied diagrams, simplified charts and pictures in illustrating his sharing which made it easier for understanding.
Everyone should be aware and understand depression and its implication in our life. The fact is many of us knows someone that who has suffered from it and some even have personally experienced its devastating effects shows the significance of this mental disorder. The talk offered simple tips for the audiences on different methods in developing prevention measures which is practical and applicable to our daily life. During the talk, participants also has the opportunity to fill up a simple checklist on their mental health state for self awareness. Mr Jin also shared about the five major components that cause depression, and the 16 roots.
It is our hope that more people are becoming well aware of depression and develop personalized effective ways to go through life in a healthy manner.
